Miami, FL —The Do Good 4-1 Spring Showdown Robotics Competition brought together some of our community’s brightest young innovators to showcase their incredible skills in designing, building, and coding robots! Through teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, students stepped into the exciting world of STEM while preparing for future careers in technology and engineering.
Hosted at the Overtown Youth Center (OYC Miami) on Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Spring Showdown was more than just a competition it was a celebration of growth, opportunity, and exposure. From first-time participants to experienced competitors, students demonstrated resilience, confidence, and innovation every step of the way.
What makes this story so powerful is that many of these students, from historically underserved communities, had little to no access to robotics programs just months ago. Today, they are building, programming, and competing at a high level. In a short period of time, Do Good 4-1 has helped establish 18 new robotics teams, creating meaningful pathways into STEM for youth across Overtown and surrounding communities.
