Do Good 41 Inc. has received $25,000 in funding for the fiscal year 2020 from Walmart Foundation to support its STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) program. STEAM Labs is Do Good 41 Inc.’s capstone program that encourages youth in grades K-12 to explore career paths and post-secondary educational opportunities in STEAM.
“We are grateful for the support of the Walmart Foundation that recognizes the long-reaching impact of our STEAM Labs programs. Thanks to their commitment, our youth are being mentored and given the unique opportunity to discover science, technology, engineering, art and math and learn about related career opportunities that will positively impact their futures,” said Max Joseph, CEO of Do Good 41 Inc.
The STEAM Labs program lets Do Good 41 Inc. provide a pipeline of programs for underserved youth in grades k-12; building youth’ confidence and skills through a continuum of engaging hands-on STEAM opportunities as well as the following youth through to their high school graduation and college acceptance. The program requires collaboration with STEAM professionals and their companies and a connection with local colleges/universities for the summer experience. The DG41 program helps youth understand STEAM career opportunities and be well positioned to join the community’s workforce in those fields.
The mission of Do Good 41 Inc. is to: Empower and enlighten underprivileged youth and families so that they can envision a positive future and brighter tomorrow through mentoring, technology, sports, and challenging educational programs. … Today’s Youth Are Tomorrow’s Leaders!
