Do Good 41 is grateful for the generous support from Bank United, whose sponsorship brought our hands-on STEAM Labs computer science course to 5th graders at Carrie P. Meek K-8 Center in Miami-Dade County. This initiative allowed students from a high-need community to explore computer hardware, software, and applications building and programming their own computers in the process. The experience not only sparked curiosity but also introduced pathways to STEM careers and higher education, preparing students for the opportunities of the 21st century.
In addition to supporting our STEAM program, BankUnited hosted a financial literacy workshop for our teens at their Miami Lakes office. Participants learned essential money management skills, as well as scholarship and internship opportunities with the bank empowering them with financial knowledge for their future.
